All skin types,&nbsp; including sensitive skin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medik8.com\/\">Medik8<\/a>\u00a0is one of the few cosmeceuticals to offer a cleansing oil, so I was immediately curious. (Annoyingly,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.medik8.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Medik8<\/a>\u00a0won\u2019t reveal the pH as if it were some state secret, so I had to use a pH strip).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Ingredients:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rich in nourishing fatty acids and vitamin E<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Safflower Oil<\/strong><\/td><td>A cold-pressed oil which is made up of more than 70% omega 6Rich in linoleic acid, a fatty acid, which can\u2019t be synthesised by the skin.<br>Helps moisturise the skin. Reduces irritation. An emollient non-fragrant oil.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Vitamin E<\/strong><\/td><td>An oil-soluble antioxidant that can protect the lipid parts of the cell from free radicals. Found naturally in the skin but levels become depleted by pollution and sun exposure.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Omega 6: (Linolenic Acid)<\/strong><\/td><td>\u00a0Anti-inflammatoryEFA (essential fatty acid) which can\u2019t be synthesised by the body. Rebalances the skin\u2019s lipid levels. Antioxidant, skin-soothing, emollient<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Moringa seed oil extract<\/strong><\/td><td>Helps remove the build-up of daily pollutants. A natural cleanser: binds to dirt and pollution. Non-fragrant plant oilGood source of oleic acid which strengthens barrier. Mono fatty acid with has a light texture. Antioxidant. Fortunately, it is low down the ingredients list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No parabens, no sulphates, no perfume, 100% soap-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does it feel? Even though it emulsifies, I like to double cleanse with a water-based cleanser afterwards. For many people, this would be overkill, but I use so much\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/charlottewilkesbeautywriter.com\/blog\/review-of-heliocare-360-mineral-fluid-sunscreen-spf-50\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"282\">sunscreen<\/a>\u00a0and live in a polluted area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>First of all, massage straight onto dry skin to dissolve your make-up<\/li><li>Add water to emulsify and continue to massage in<\/li><li>Finally, rinse off thoroughly<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-white-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pros<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dissolves makeup (including mascara) and\u00a0<a type=\"post\" id=\"282\" href=\"https:\/\/charlottewilkesbeautywriter.com\/blog\/review-of-heliocare-360-mineral-fluid-sunscreen-spf-50\/\">sunscreen<\/a>\u00a0easily without drying out the skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An excellent blend of ingredients to restore the skin\u2019s barrier and protect against pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, Geranium oil is a fragrant oil and potentially a skin irritant. What a shame \u2013 there are so many other fabulous oils to choose from.
